The Bunker

This original 1964 Cold War era nuclear bomb shelter was built by AT&T in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense; a self-sufficient power regeneration installation for military defense communications as part of the AUTOVON network linked to NORAD. The entire facility is comprised of double layer steel reinforced concrete, sitting upon a nine foot thick blast slab, bermed over with earth. The two exterior entrances have armored steel blast doors. The bunker was built to sustain operations with 5 people for up to 30 days.

Our Progress

Data Shelter will be the “Fort Knox” of colocation facilities. Expansion of the existing bunker will increase the capacity of the facility to 17,000sq/ft.
